AGon First To 20

This is a discussion on AGon First To 20 within the San Diego Padres forum; Adrian Gonzalez was the first MLBer to reach 20 homers this year! Too bad the casual fans don't know who ...

**** that. Build around Adrian.

Trading Adrian would piss me off 100x more than trading Jake would.

If he was a free agent after this year it'd be a different story, but that's not the case.

Have you seen Adrian Gonzalez's home/away spits at all?

He has 3 times more HRs away from Petco than in Petco.

31 of AGon's 40 RBI have come via the long ball.

You gotta consider trading Gonzo... imagine the return... you could get 3-4 spects with Gonzo potential... i think its at least worth a serious look

Re: AGon First To 20

They don't have to look at anything. I am not a firm believer in the notion that just because you're in rebuilding mode that it means you have to trade every one of your good major league players.

If I'm the Padres GM I don't even look to trade him, not with him locked up and him being as good as he is. It's just not worth the loss for "potential".

If some rambunctious GM wants to contact me and offer me his entire farm system I may consider it, but I do not actively try and trade him.
