I would have rather had Morgan, the combo with McCutchen was fun. And I will not get to witness it in August. Damnit.

Wow, did the Nationals just make a good trade?

They traded for a guy who showed up late to his own surgery....

I'm willing to bet Milledge never realizes his true potential.

Re: Pirates acquire OF Lastings Milledge

Pirates GM Neal Huntington told the Pirates’ Web site regarding Milledge. “With some maturity, with some guidance, with some direction, we might have ourselves a pretty good player here. It’s a chance we were willing to take.”

HAHAHA. With all that work, they MIGHT have a pretty good player. It's definitely worth giving up a guy who's already a good player for a guy who "might be" with all that work put in. Not to mention that Milledge is hurt, has a known attitude problem, and SHOWED UP LATE TO HIS OWN SURGERY!

My, you're right. Milledge is batting .300 for the Pirates while Nyjer Morgan fractured his hand and is out for the season. The Natinals blow it again.

At least until that happened, it was completely in favor of the Nats. He was and still would be a better fit with McCutchen and Big Stiff Jones.

Now it comes down to which Hanrahan shows up for 2010. The 2008 edition, the one that allowed 1 ER after August last season, or the one that posted a 13 plus ERA in June last season. Hanrahan is one of those fun pitchers that should be on the mets.
