I've never heard of the dude pitching for the blue jays...does he wear those goofy glasses when he pitches? I can't imagine that he does...they look like sun glasses to me.

I wish I wasn't in RI and could go, too...I won't even see any games in person this year...Sox tickets when up again for the 10th year in a row or whatever (I lost track) and like usual they packaged many of the A's games in 4 game and 10 game packs, which I sure as hell wasn't even going to try to get, but they sold out anyway.

I went to 2 games last year (had 3, but gave one to my Dad and stepmom). One game we won 15 - 2 Mulder vs. Arroyo I believe. The 2nd one was Harden vs. Schilling and we either lost in extras or at the very end. Byrnes crushed one of Schilling over the monster; I swear the ball went out of the stadium in what seemed like less than 2 seconds...and it was still on its way up as it went out...anywho, I hate the Sox and their prices...they can shove it. Check out these eye gouging prices:

Regular area
Field Box $85
Roof Box $80
Loge Box $80
Right Field Box $45
Right Field Roof $45
Infield Grandstand $45
Outfield Grandstand $27
Bleachers $23
Upper Bleachers $12
Standing Room $20

Green Monster
Standing Room, Blue Games $25
Standing Room, Red Games $30
Front Row, Blue Games $100
Front Row, Red Games $120
2nd & 3rd Rows, Blue Games $80
2nd & 3rd Rows, Red Games $100

Right Field Roof Tables Area
(192 seats) 2005
Standing Room, Blue Games $25
Standing Room, Red Games $30
Blue Games $60*
Red Games $85*

*$25 fee assessed as well

Yankee Stadium ain't cheap either.

I could never go to a game at that place. It's way too expensive and Steinbrenner is not getting my hard-earned money either even if I go see the Twins. Plus the gameday experience stinks IMO.

Have fun at the game, ADH.

The only other stadiums I've been to are Baltimore and Oaktown...Oaktown was the cheapest ($25 got you behind the dugouts, $27 in Fenway gets you in the grandstand with big metal poles in the way on wooden benches made before your Grandma was born)...Baltimore was in between the two, but the stadium was nicer

Chacin is HUUUUUUUGE. And when I say huge, I mean obese. He's a decent lefty though.

Fenway Ticket Prices are God's form of a joke. Of course, the games are selling out at the asinine ticket prices (by FAR the most expensive in baseball), so there's absolutely no reason to lower it. Massive demand + expensive team + smallest ballpark in bigs + park renovation = huge ticket prices.

As for the game, I'm cheering for Chacin, he was the workhorse of my local AA team (EL Pitcher of the Year).

THIS is what we get Billy Beane? Are you freaking kidding me? And Macha, Bobby Kielty as the DH??

Kielty hasn't done much of anything since we got him, but since Beane loves him he probably won't be going anywhere.

Street looked great last night, huh? 4 k's in 2 innings...regardless of how he does this season, I still stand by my opinion that should have just let him get some experience for at least half the year in AAA...it's not like we're going to really compete this year, so what is the big deal? All they've done is start his arbitration clock earlier...

I agree Providence about Street and I also think Macha is using him way too much way too early; he'll be toast by August.
