they haven't ruled out Chavez for opening day. He was supposed to play today or tomorrow IIRC. If he's not ready, Barton will make the roster...if he is ready, Barton is going to AAA.

I don't see him being ready for Opening Day. Tomorrow will be his first day to swing against real pitching since his setback.

I'm just telling you what they said. They think he can still make the roster out of ST and not go on the DL.
