Yankees ALDS: Tigers @ Yankees Series Thread

Kind of fun to think this is the exact matchup I was able to check out when I went out to NY for opening day. Hopefully we have the same result. (Yankees won that game 6-3)

This game is absolutely, without a doubt a must win. It's imperative that CC puts the Yankees in a position to win this game. In order for the Yankees to win this series we have to pick up Game 1. Outside of CC, we aren't sure what we're going to get from the rotation.

Hopefully Nova can carry his regular season success over into the playoffs and continue to pitch the way he has. We really need a solid outing from the youngster.

Also, A-rod has to perform. No other way to spin it. It sounds like Cano will be hitting in front of him so A-rod has to show up. We can't let Verlander and the Tigers pitch around Cano knowing that A-rod is on deck and knowing that he is struggling. He has to put the bat on the ball and drive in some runs.

This series is going to be fun.. It's not going to be easy but I really feel like the Yankees could win this. Everyone on MLB Network last night chose the Tigers but honestly.. I feel like we have a good shot.

The nerves are starting to kick in!! Let's go Yankees!!
Tennessee Titans. Duke athletics. New York Yankees. Carolina Hurricanes. Portland Trailblazers.

nothing to argue about up there... but im still unsure with our dummy of a manager, as to whether cano will remain in the 3 hole. or did tex's two homer day in an absolutely meaningless game for us, get him put back there. meaning they can pitch around cano all day with swisher behind him.

and yes, everyone ive read, or heard, has picked detroit as well. cant blame em, after cc who knows what we have in the rotation.

Definitely, a match-up for the ages, I do think the pitching advantage may go to Verlander, as I have personally seen how vulnerable CC can be at times.

Not sure who I really WANT to win, Tigers give the Rays a fit even more sometimes than the Yankees (course pending the Rays can get through the Ranger juggernaut) but facing the Yanks for a pennant……….SWEET!!! Not sure if I want the easy way or ….oh hell ………none of this is going to be easy!

    May the best team win!

thats two bad infield plays in the inning. cabrera couldnt get it out of his glove, i believe... then inge decided to take the out at 1st, instead of going home where i thought he couldve gotten jeter.

Ball came up too high on Inge and the Avila didn't look set up well, took the sure out at first and conceded the run.

they should pull nova now, so he can start game 4. nova on 3 days rest is a much better option than burnett on 103 days rest.

    im halfway not joking

6 scoreless innings for nova. cano made it easier... but hey, if we can piece decent starts from garcia and/or burnett around cc and nova for 10 more wins... yep.
