    Yankees Yankee Stadiums Last Night

Tonight is the final night that Yankee Stadium will be played in. Pettitte will be pitching against Chris Waters tonight in the final game. Hopefully we can sweep the series tonight and get one last win in this stadium. I never got to see it in person but I really wish I would have. Thank you Yankee Stadium, you may be gone but you won't be forgotten.

It is truly sad isn't it? I mean, no one will be able to say, this is where the Babe did his duty, or this is where Gherig gave his echoing speech, nothing. Like someone said, "If Yankee stadium is so f'ing great, why are they tearing it down?

This will reduce the Spanks to just another baseball team like all the others. Nothing special. Nothing extrodinary. Just another team. Maybe their third place finish this season is a way of saying, "How dare you leave behind all that history." Time will tell.

They're tearing it down because it's been in use since 1923. It's actually been one of the longest tenured stadiums in history. It deserves a replacement. All good things must come to an end. I hate when teams use a stadium for like 15 years and then replace it. This stadium needs a replacement, it's kind of a piece of crap now. But you can't replace the memories

I'm surprised it's taken this long to replace it but I'm not a Yankees fan.

Wow...what a sad night. I had goose bumps the whole night. Molina is the last one to ever homer in Yankee Stadium.

    Pussy.

Nice win for this team. They need SOMETHING to take away from this season

So when does Fenway Park get torn down? It's only been there since forever.

One regret I have is that I never saw a game at this historic stadium.

There's always a time to move on...

Besides, why do you think it was so emotional tonight? Fans don't want to see it go.

Show some class. This is disgusting. Just because we aren't in the same Stadium, doesn't mean our history is gone. Just because the omnipresent symbol is gone doesn't mean the fans will forget.

What you said is like saying "Tony Gwynn's career doesn't count because the Padres don't play in Qualcomm" or "The Angels history doesn't matter because the team moved"

Not only is it incredibly stupid and angering, but it's also entirely uncouth.

I totally agree. That was a stupid and classless and ignorant statement
