Interesting note here...Mark Melancon was promoted to AA and J. Brent Cox to AAA. Two moves as a prelude to making Joba an eventual starter...
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

I'm disgusted by this weekend. Santana was very hittable and we faced Oliver Perez in the 2nd game while we had our 2 best pitchers going and we couldn't win a game? Pathetic.

I'm disgusted by this whole season so far. They have had an UNBELIEVABLE amount of opportunities and squander has been the name of the game so far.

It hasn't been horrible overall w/ the injuries and the struggles of the young pitchers, it could be ALOT worse right now. Hopefully we can start to hit again as ARod and Posada make their way back into the lineup.

I don't know? It's bad enough Giambi has been a big bust for the contract he was signed to but now he has to publicize this? I look forward to a Giambi-less '09 and beyond.

Call me crazy, but I want Mientkiewicz back...best defensive first baseman I've ever seen

That's not crazy at all, I agree w/ you. A good defensive 1B is so valuable and w/ Giambi not hitting what is the pointof having him at 1B?

3 in a row. I like playing Seattle, we need to kep this up and hopefully sweep Seattle again. Posada should be back soon and the lineup will b whole again.

Huge 8 inning for the Yankees. 4 in the inning as Putz falls apart. The Yankees comeback andtake the game 6-5. The M's are playing pathetic.

Bon Bon, I'd like to think that the yanks are just playin too good rather than the M's sucking.

The Yanks have reached the .500 mark so let's us just see how long they can keep it up. They are still 5 games off the pace behind that's right the Tampa Bay Rays.

Everyone is starting to hit now, so I think that they should be in good shape. Today's comeback will definitely fuel the team. GO YANKS!!
