Reyes is on pace to break 5 Mets franchise (single season) records, as well as joining multiple other groups of select company. Reyes has been outstanding all season, with more than half of his games played being multi-hit games. He's doing everything he can to prove to the Mets that he's healthy and capable of being an absolute superstar.

I'd rather have Beltran at this point. If there were a team to get Reyes, I see the Reds being the front runners.

You can take A) CIN out of the running. They aren't going to trade a boatload of specs for a rent-a-player.

That's the thing. I don't see any team giving up the kind of prospects that Reyes is worth. I am not of the belief that the Mets will trade him. They will go to the off season, try to resign him, and if they can't, they'll collect the compensation picks that rumor has it will be grandfathered in.

Even so, they've got too much invested already, Cueto will make $10 mil in like 2013 or something, plus they just signed Votto and Bruce through arby... Rollen, though he took a pay cut is making a mint, Arroyo is costing them a ton right now... Too many people making too much on a "small market" club.
