    Mets Izzy comes full circle

Mets signed RHP Jason Isringhausen to a minor league contract.
Isringhausen is back where it all began. He'll get an invite to major league camp, where he'll attempt to win a spot out of the bullpen. The 38-year-old right-hander hasn't pitched in a major league game since 2009 as a member of the Rays. His surgically-repaired elbow might not have much left, but it's worth a shot.
Izzy is back with NY where it all started but the odds of him playing IN NY are extremely slim. He was with the Reds last year but never made it up so don't see him doing it with the Mets.

So glad Izzy is gone. Not that I don't think he can't contribute to a club if healthy, I just didn't want it to come at the expense of one of the Reds young arms.
