Awful first showing for Manuel. He upset both Reyes(pulled him after a very minor injury when Reyes wanted to stay in), and Wright(forced him to DH when Wright asked to play the field). Manuel just has NO ability to get this team ready to play

They won 5 of 7 series for willie. They won 3 of 4 games for willie. They were finally starting to hustle for willie. They fired him too late, they should have left willie alone.....they waited too long

How is this Jose being about himself? Jose wanting to fight through the injury is about the team and NOT himself. Manuel is a jerk who just doesn't seem to have the respect of all these players. Reyes acted childish, but that was solely because he wanted to win the game, and he wanted to help lead the team.

But, when Manuel plays him today and admits that the injury was minor, and Reyes probably didn't have to come out, we see how Manuel was the one who hurt the team, and Reyes just wanted to give his all.

The injury could have become major, especially with Reyes and his long line of leg injuries. I doubt Manuel wanted his SS to go down due to injury in his first night on the job. Reyes acted like a ***** and didn;t do what his manager told him. No respect and it reflects the attitude of this team. If Reyes hurt himself, you would still be calling for Manuel's head. Reyes was wrong for acting the way he did. Personally, if I were Manuel and Reyes acted like that, Billy Martin and Reggie Jackson's fight in the dugout would have looked like a makeout sesssion compared to the abuse I would have layed on Reyes. Plus his ass would be benched today and probably tomorrow.

You're right, it could have, however, Reyes knows his body. I can understand that Reyes didn't act properly, but he didn't do it because of being selfish. Manuel doesn't deserve the respect of anyone on this team. There are rumors circulating that he and Tony Bernazard were conspiring against Randolph for weeks. I'm calling for Manuel's head because he is the same as willie. I wanna see Oberkfell managing.

He didn't act selfish, he acted unprofessionally. Be a pro and do what your manager tells you to do! Reyes knows his body and everyone else knows how fragile his legs are. If Manuel wants respect, bench Reyes' ass and show that the bullshit stops here and now. Brand new year and on my terms. Manuel won;t do it because he would be scorned in the media. I am calling for Minaya's head, the real problem. That and Delgado's and a few other players.
