    Astros 2070 Astros need a bottom-third-of-lineup hitter

I missed out on Eddie Palermos and Ranjit Singh, so now I need a body that I can stick at first base and to round out my lineup.

I don't want to trade my future 1st picks either, so all I can offer are:
#20 Asa Melcher, Starting Pitcher, 24 yrs, Houston Astros - Out of the Park Baseball Report
#32 Enrique Sanchez, Second Base, 25 yrs, Houston Astros - Out of the Park Baseball Report

Would Alex Trager fit the 1B role? For possibly Wren?

What about Briars? batting over. 300 right now or Testa? batting .293 -- either is cheap from a trade standpoint

Guys, my offense is fine after acquiring Whitehurst. I could use an upgrade at SP over Stew Martin, though. I'll even swap Martin for one if anyone thinks he can convert him to a useful reliever with his stuff and control. Think Wade Davis, bitches.
