Yeah I don't think he's worth 15 either but last free agency 8-8-8-9-7 got 12.5 million. Wasn't losing out on a great hitter. Not power but consistently has a great average and plays all the inf positions.

No doubt overpaid but I couldn't afford losing out on a sub 30 yr old bat again with my pitching being strong.

Sometimes you gotta over pay with what is available in the market. That's the nature of free agency.

I do think Boh got vastly overpaid but I'm not going to say madsheep made a poor decision in doing so.

I don't think there's anyone who values high contact, high eye over power than I do. Pretty evident when I had Dave Norton, Joe Jackson, and Edward Nigma all those years.

I just wouldnt pay 15 mil for those guys.

Re: 2069 Free Agency round 1 signings

ill be honest i just throw that multi year 20 mil offer to all the elite free agents. they never end up choosing my team.

until now naturally, when i feel like i was still at least a year away. oh well, time to speed everything up!

wow, and naturally i thought about throwing it to garner too, but i didnt wanna overstock my payroll when, like i said, i thought i was still a year or two away. and mofo gets an absolute steal.

I can't say it was bad at all. I gave 18 mill to Ortiz, but he had elite speed at the time....

Well, I offered him more money than what he eventually signed with Philly, but I will assume that he signed with Philly because his 1-year offer came first, and then he turned down all subsequent offers that were just 1 year, thus, he went back to Philly.

So it's probably the same quirk that allowed me to sign him last year when there were better offers available.

Landed one player only. I wanted Grams but did not offer that many years.
