Twins lost Luke Hughes today. We tried to sneak him through waiver wire and well Oakland jumped all over Hughes! Congrats Twins and Terry Ryan, I think this was one of the worst moves ever by Twins management. Did Hughes even get enough of a chance at the big league level? I think Gardy did not like him. Maybe was not one of the guys he liked? With Casilla as the everyday 2nd baseman, Hughes should have been given the chance to win the job at 2nd. He hit like 370 in the spring so, why in the hell would you NOT give him every chance at being the starter?

Side note Clete Thomas is 4 for 21 with 12 k's since being claimed. How is he better than Hughes? Why not demote Casilla? My thoughts is this would have been the better move.

One more thing Hughes had 10 at bats. Way to give a guy a shot Gardy! Time to clean house Fire Gardy and the staff and get someone that wants to win. Gardy seems like he is just going through the motions. Open up the checkbook Polad and spend some money. New stadium and you have not done much of anything to build a winning team.
