Slowey only goes 3 innings again, giving up 6 runs on 5 hits. He was leaving a lot of balls up and the Tigers took advantage.

Duensing was called up as Henn was sent down, and replaces Slowey in the 4th.

Tigers up 6-1.

A Crede homer, and back-to-back RBI triples, Twins put up a 5 spot on the board and tie the game up at 7 in the bottom of the 6th.

Shut out baseball from both bullpens til the 14th, where each team gives up 1 run.

8-8 going into the 15th.

Bottom of the 16th, Twins down 11-8. Harris makes an out, Mauer reaches on an error by the pitcher, Morneau follows with a double into the left field corner.

The Tigers' pitcher is used to throwing an inning or 2 and has thrown 58 pitches. I'm sure he won't be available tomorrow.

Twins threaten and score a run, but can't come through, losing 11-9. R.A. Dickey takes the loss.

Hopefully the Twins will get a good showing from the starter tomorrow, as the bullpen worked from the 4th inning on.

Tigers string a couple hits together, and Liriano gives up a 3 run shot to Ordonez.

Tigers up 3-2.

Morneau comes up with runners on 1st and 2nd and hits a sharp single to center driving in Span for his 2nd RBI of the day. Kubel forces Morneau at 2nd and Cuddyer flies out to center. 3-3 after 7.

Twins play station to station baseball in the 8th, and get the run across.

Nathan comes in and picks up the save.

Twins really needed a day like today after the marathon game last night.

This is very good to see. Guerrier and Nathan pitched very tidy innings and the Twins win a close, tough-fought game after last night's marathon.
