The stopper Nieve is going, you'll at least win that barring a David Wright 3 error package.

No. Lets think, most embarrassing thing possible.....maybe Nieve will go the distance in a 0-0 game, and in the bottom of the 9th, with 2 outs, he'll strikeout Prince Fielder, but Santos will drop the ball, Fielder will run towards first, Santos throws it into RF, Fielder chugs down to 2nd, but Church's throw is wide, Fielder to third, but Sheff's throw from LF goes over Wright, over the catcher, and Fielder scores the walk off strikeout/3 errors.

So he does what Erick Aybar did the other day? That could be the longest play ever.

I think what would top that is a walk off homerun, against KRod... by Craig Counsell.

You guys almost came back on our pathetic pitching there...Don't count on a sweep though. The guy we got tomorrow is fresh you could nail him.

I wouldn't count on it. The Mets took advantage of Villanueva who seemed to be completely disinterested in the game. Their lineup had had a total of 10 hits in 4 games before tonight, and I'm willing to bet that they will score no more than 3 runs tomorrow.

Oh they beat the stopper, damn. Santana vs. Mike Burns, there's a slight chance the mets could win. There's also a slight chance the mets might get a few hits. Slight chance either way

I'm at the point where my expectations for this team are dropping. Now Beltran may need season ending and possibly career threatening surgery? I just hope we don't get no-hit tonight.

Yeah you guys got hit with the injury bug big time this year. Rickie Weeks was the loss for us but Casey McGhee has stepped up big time.

Burns is only in the rotation because Parra isn't there..

Shoving match with Prince Fielder
and
First to pitch to Manny during his minor league stint and striking him out!

When did the news on Beltran change? It was after the allstar break with Jose Reyes.

Check the Mets injury thread. He was sent to Colorado for a second opinion with the doctor who invented microfracture surgery. Luckily the doctor said he does NOT need the surgery, but he'll be out a little bit longer, he will not be back right after the all star break....

I think if a guy like Amare Stoudemire or Grant Hill can make it back from microfracture surgery, Beltran could too. He would miss the rest of the season and maybe even the start of next but seems to me that a 6'10 big dude is able, Beltran would be able (less weight/stress on the legs).
