    Royals Eiland named pitching coach

Royals named Dave Eiland as pitching coach.
Eiland was interviewed a couple of weeks ago and then officially named to the role on Tuesday morning. He was the Yankees' pitching coach from 2008-2010, winning a World Series title in 2009. The Royals will now trust him to develop their promising young arms.
Eiland had been with the Yankees for over a decade and helped develop arms like Hughes, Chamberlain and Kennedy so this seems like a solid pickup for the Royals. Royals have a lot of young arms coming up so this might be a good fit.

I like this move. The Royals have some very good young arms and he should be able to help them alot.
