Sucks that Kyle Davies had to leave the game while throwing a no-hitter. Opportunity lost.

At what fucking point as a manager do you say enough is enough and pull the guy? That's ridiculous on his part. He clearly didn't have it, what the fuck are you doing, taking a Ken Griffey Jr. nap?

By the way, did that Adcock guy miss his calling as a porn star?

Someone had to eat innings, why not Mazzaro? Not like he was a mainstay anyway.

You can't eat innings when you fail to get hitters out.

In a game that is already out of reach, sometimes a pitcher has to "fall on his sword" for his team. I guess that's what Mazzaro did tonight. His ERA certainly took quite a hit, though.

The game was out of hand after three innings. I would have done the same thing.

I understand the need for a pitcher to take one for the team, but if all you needed was one more out to end the inning, why not just go to another pitcher and see if he can get a quick flyout or a groundout instead of watching the inning extend needlessly?

Because by that time it was 8-0 and running your bullpen out there to stop the bleeding isn't necessary.

As expected, Mazzaro was sent down today.

I didn't say the manager should burn through the pen to get one out, but rather take a chance on your second shittiest reliever available to induce a one-pitch flyout or something else to that effect. For all the time wasted in waiting it out, all Mazzaro "ate" was an additional two-third inning.

Yost had no idea that's all he was going to eat. Why waste a reliever on one out in a game that was already out of hand? Its absurd to be upset at this.

This is more embarrassing than the night I went on a date and tried buying mine and my dates movie tickets with my Costa Vida card.

And I didn't think anything could ever top that.
