    Royals Better late than never

My fantasy team will agree: It's good to see Alex Gordon finding some success. The once highly touted prospect has been up and down in the system, injured, forced to change positions and is now hitting very well. Currently sporting 28 hits, a .900 plus OPS, and a nice little hitting streak currently.. he's giving the Royals and their fans something to be encouraged about this season.

    Average: .354
    Doubles: 10
    OPS: .930
    Runs: 16

Great start as the Royals have been very competitive early on. Will he last?

Oh, and Billy Butler has nearly identical average and OPS numbers. Royals have some good hitters right now, plus they have the supposed deep as Hell farm system. Nifty.

Third basemen drafted top 5 overall in the 2005 draft: Alex Gordon (2nd), Ryan Zimmerman (4th), Ryan Braun (5th). He has a lot to catch up to.

He's what, only 144 million behind Braun? It's close!

My fantasy team agrees too. Its great to see Gordon come out of the BS jinx I put on him. If you remember, I sponsored his Baseball-Reference page his rookie year and he was never the same til this year. Working with Kevin Seitzer has really helped him a lot and I'm glad for KC fans that it is paying off. KC will be a lot of fun to watch in the coming years.

Jeff Francis is doing a hell of a job too.
