Astros have a lot of money tied up into their team and can't afford to make big moves. Yankees and Red Sox have no affect on this team.

If that's the case, your statement makes no sense because Berkman and Oswalt have never reached free agency so they haven't had to compete with the Red Sox and Yankees to sign them.

Carlos Lee, yeah, but 2 of the 3 you mentioned, no.

He pitched pretty well today on a very cold day in Des Moines. He seemed to have command of 3 pitches today and kept the ICubs' hitters off balance during his stay in the game.
