Clay Hensley has reportedly inked a minor league deal with the Astros.
Hensley has battled shoulder problems since going 11-10 with a 3.56 ERA for the Padres in 2006. Going from San Diego to Houston worked for Randy Wolf, but it makes Hensley less of a sleeper for fantasy purposes.

Another pickup off the trash pile. Expect more of these kinds of deals.

I do recall them having Lee, Berkman and Oswalt so there goes your little theory The economy is tight and affected a lot of teams. Astros have a lot of money tied up into their team and can't afford to make big moves. Yankees and Red Sox have no affect on this team.

If that's the case, your statement makes no sense because Berkman and Oswalt have never reached free agency so they haven't had to compete with the Red Sox and Yankees to sign them.

Carlos Lee, yeah, but 2 of the 3 you mentioned, no.

He pitched pretty well today on a very cold day in Des Moines. He seemed to have command of 3 pitches today and kept the ICubs' hitters off balance during his stay in the game.
