im not the biggest hundley fan, but theres plenty of tools if a good coach gets his hands on him. i like him more than petty. i personally am not impressed with connor cook... he can make every throw, hes kinda mobile... but meh. but i know a lot of scouts dig him, he actually wouldve been my guess over petty.
in terms of just on field talent... id probably go mariota, winston, hundley as my 1st round qbs, with a handful of middling guys to watch for. in terms of who i want the jets to draft... i want mariota, and no one else. no more mid round qbs that might or might not turn into anything.
Think that's what the Jets will do? Boot everyone and start over with Mariota or Winston?

Looking at teams fighting for top spots, I figure Tampa will entertain the idea of a QB since the new regime gives no fucks about Glennon. Oakland should either trade down (Mach it) or draft Williams to anchor the D line. Jags need to consider addressing their D, Williams would be good for them too. Tennessee needs one of everything. Washington needs a new owner. Minnesota needs people for Teddy B to throw to or to cover receivers. Carolina needs an OLine and secondary. I like the Jets chances for one of the QBs at least

Mariota to the Jets, Winston to the Bucs, Hundley to the Rams in round 2, Petty to the Cowboys in round 2/3, and fast riser in the combine/crazy untapped potential and tools guy drafted by the Bills in round 3/4

i cant give a good guess now, only because i dont even know if idzik or ryan will even have jobs come the combine. that being said, assuming we pick 3rd [the bucs are fiestier than we are, they should be able to steal a game or two. even against tennessee and minnesota, i question whether we'll be able to win another game], and mariota is sitting there, how do you pass on him. youve supposedly sure'd up your receiving corps, your front 7 is solid, and theres no corner worth a top 5 pick. we all agree mariota is the most complete qb to come out since luck... not as much a guarantee as luck though.
realistically though... oaklands gonna bring in a whole new coaching staff, and draft mariota first overall. if that happens, id rather the jets just trade back, pick up extra picks, drop to 10th and grab waynes or ifo. offensive tackle is a deep position this year, you can get a good one in the early 2nd... drango, erving, fisher. and then after that, just go bpa along the oline, secondary or inside linebacker. leaving the major question... what do you do at qb? you suck there again. pretty much. i dont want the jameis circus. i dont want flawed prospects with beautiful tools and questionable mindstate. unfortunately the 16 draft class is kinda meh... hackenberg is probably the top qb prospect. solid, but meh.
thus, in true jets fashion... its mariota, or suck and deal with retread veterans again for another season. but realistically, theres so many holes on this team, even mariota isnt gonna step in and win.
'16 seems to be quite stank. I like Hackenberg. Suppose Braxton, Taylor Kelly's back up, and umm.. I had another but it slipped my mind. Brb
