Dumbrowski made a huge mistake giving Willis that three year deal without even throwing a single pitch in a Tigers uniform. Now he looks like the biggest jackass since he is more than likely going to have to release Willis and eat all that money.

Dombrowski pulled perhaps one of the greatest GM illusions in recent years. So many, myself included, were putting him near great level GM's for that farm he built and that very memorable run the Tigers had a few years ago which liked the potential for a new big player in the AL since Detroit is not a shabby market at all. But man, some of those contracts and the moves since then I just don't get. I mean he is so reserved when going after free agents but rushes into contract extensions, it just doesn't gel.

I really feel for Willis though and I can't see him really lasting more than a couple of seasons. His confidence is just shot, he lost any resemblance of a punchout pitch, and then there is the horrid control. And my exposure to Tigers games have been limited so this might not be accurate but I think he has really developed some bad habbits on the mound.

Willis might have to pick up a first baseman's mitt since he can hit. If Ankiel can make the switch, I think Willis can too. He is a lefty and has the build to be a first baseman.

Yeah, he can hit. I think he had like an .800+ OPS season in his last year in Florida. Plus, didn't Ankiel make the switch at about D-Train's age too?

If Willis made the switch now, he would just be a couple of years older than Ankiel when he went to the OF. Willis is still just 27 so he has time to adjust but only if he realizes he can no longer throw. Willis and Cabrera at first base would be funny to see because they were involved in the same deal.

The long-speculated decision on Dontrelle Willis ended up being an unexpected diagnosis and a trip to the disabled list. The Tigers placed the former 22-game winner on the 15-day DL Sunday morning with anxiety disorder.

The diagnosis, Willis said, came after team doctors and specialists consulted with the once dominant starter who, lately, has turned struggling pitcher.

Anxiety?? Are you ****ing kidding me?? I cannot believe MLB is letting Willis start the year on the DL for this shit!
