    Indians Reds @ Indians (5/20-5/22)

Gotta love the battle of Ohio. The Reds bring in big bats Jay Bruce and Joey Votto to Progressive field to take on the 1st Place Cleveland Indians.

Game 1 features Reds pitcher Travis Wood(3-3/ 5.01 ERA) against the Indians 5th Starter Alex White(1-0/3.75 ERA). White must harnish his pitches and not give too many free passes to be successful against the good offense of the Reds.

Game 2 has the best pitching match up in my opinion with the Reds bringing out Homer Bailey(3-0/1.89 ERA) against Cleveland's Josh Tomlin(5-1/2.56 ERA). Both of these guys are finesse pitchers, especially Tomlin who has only struckout 27 in over 50 innings pitched.

Game 3 could be awild one with two pitchers who have a tendency to have trouble finding the plate. Edinson Volquez has already given up 34 free passes while Carrasco with less innings has given up 15. This one should be a slug fest and I will be there to see it.

Gotta like what he has done in the short time on the mound. He still needs to cut down on his walks , but I think with time an confidence of his pitches in the bigs he will get there. Tonight will be a good test for him.

Alex White injured his hand in someway and just couldn't throw the ball over the plate. He would have been able to get out of it though except for LaPorta's throwing error.

4 runs in the bottom of the inning as Wood and his replacement couldn't seem to throw the ball over the plate. The game is tied now.

Cleveland comes back in the bottom of the 8th with 1 run and Chris Perez closes the door on the Reds in the 9th.

Game 2: A pitching duel between Bailey & Tomlin. The big blow for the Indians was a Travis Buck 2 run HR.

A sweep of the Ohio series today with a 12-4 victory. A-Cab was amazing hitting 2 HR's and going 5-5 with a 5 RBI day.

I jinxed him! He's gonna be out a while with a strained ligament in his middle finger. I hope this isn't another Adam Miller situation.
