Josh Tomlin has basically come out of nowhere to help lead this Indians rotation to a first place start of the season. Tomlin is 4-0 with a 2.45 ERA and a .91 WHIP. He doesn't possess overpowering stuff with just 18 K's in 33 IP but does get the hitters to hit his pitch. I heard a little about him last year but nothing special.

Justin Masterson is doing even better than Tomlin and he too has come out of nowhere. We all knew he could throw it hard but his control was always a problem. He has 11 walks to 22 K's in 33 IP so the walks are still there but not as much. He is 5-0 and owns a 2.18 ERA. These two pitchers are a big reason why the Indians are currently in first place and it is fun to see the Indians off to this hot start!
