This is a discussion on Random Reds Rumblings within the Cincinnati Reds forum; Where did the team who played the Mets go to? Pitching just disappeared against the Astros and we got swept ...

I was most disappointed with the hitting in this series.
The pitching gave up 3, 4 and 5 runs respectively in the three games... but our offense only scored 2, 3 and 2 runs over the three games.
The pitching should have been good enough to win two of the three games.

I totally agree. Especially yesterday with Wilson vs Backe. It also would have been nice to have Milton give us something today as well. I am not going to knock Oritz, he pitched well and he was going against Clemens.

Cards fans certainly have a lot to brag about. They have a rich tradition and Walt Jocketty is their GM right now. What a lucky franchise.
That being said, I'm not advocating Stl's attitude.

I apologize for that guys. Hopefully it's just a rookie error that we can fix.
I appreaciate you all taking the high road though and avoiding a war. That's why everyone here is so cool.

No sweat mission, I think everything will be OK.
I've talked to STL on IM before, and he isn't a bad guy... just a bit too excited about his team.
