NBA Jeremy Lin: Fact or Fiction

The poll is simple. Are we going to be talking about Lin at the end of the season, still making a positive impact, or is his 15 seconds of fame about to end?

    Numbers:
25 pts, 7 assists, 5 rebounds against New Jersey
28 pts, 8 assists, and 8 turn overs against Utah
23 pts, 10 assists, and 4 rebounds against Washington

That means he faced Deron Williams, Devin Harris, and John Wall. So obviously not bad competition, just 2/3 of those teams are bad period. As evidenced by the fact that a lot of Lin baskets came on driving to the basket.

Are you full of Lin-lightful thoughts or just ready to move on to another flash in the pan.

Re: Jeremy Lin: Fact or Fiction

"lins jumper is kinda mediocre, but hes really deceptive quick, he can get anywhere he wants on the floor. and yea, id like to see it consistently... but he did it against deron and wall, two of the faster pgs in the game (though admittedly, two who arent the most enthused defenders on the planet). i think he can keep it up, as at least a solid pg... he wont shoot us out of games, that alone is a battle we've been fighting all year with iman and toney. "

12-14 ppg, 7.5-8 apg for the rest of the year... the knicks system is built for stupid numbers by the pg, and since we dont have another one, i think he'll continue to see 35-38 mpg. and he got to the rack so much, because its reverted back to the pick n roll offense... either the defender will have to stick to him, which they havent been doing yet but will soon... or they have to stay with chandler (/amare soon), which is what they have been doing, allowing lin free looks at the basket, or free kick out passing lanes. and he does have legit nba speed, so thatll help. fast point guards can survive in this league, even without a jumper.

If driving to the hoop is his game the big guys will collapse him. However if his passing instincts take over I can see him getting plenty of assists. So I think he'll be Rondo. Not a great jumper, but makes good decisions with the ball and can get to the hoop.

Completely disagree. Carmelo has froze everyone else out of the offense, he'll do the same to Lin when he returns. I can't believe otherwise at this point.

Re: Jeremy Lin: Fact or Fiction

A short Asian kid from Harvard. I'll go out on a limb and say fiction. He's been given a tremendous opportunity so far with Carmelo + Amare gone, but the 8 turnovers he had against Utah are a better indicator than his other counting stats in my opinion.

On that note, Washington plays virtually no defense. Even Carlos Boozer looks at this last play and shakes his head. Among the worst you will ever see at a professional level. You should never be able to get a clean two-dribble drive through the middle of the paint with nobody even faking to give an effort. I'm confident I could have finished this play, and I haven't exercised since the end of golf season.

Not sure how I clicked on Fact in the poll, when I wanted to click on Fiction. Internet usage fail.

Lin will be Rondo-lite in D'Antoni's offense. Outside of it, I dont think he would excel at all.

Was it really a case of Internet usage fail...or could it be Divine Lin-tervention?

34 and 7 with 4 mins to go. Lakers have a good team D but lousy PGs.

I never figured Kobe and...Lin would be battling ...ever. This is one of the most fun quarters I've seen. Kobe started off 0-100 too and is now in a groove
