Re: Orioles 09 News

Roberts should just be rested til the regular season, no reason to make the symptoms worse in the preseason.

PS: Just make a new thread for every team... no reason to continue old ones, they are harder to look at and 2009 is a new season, let everyone start at scratch.

Re: Orioles 09 News

Orioles reassigned catcher Matt Wieters and RHP Ross Wolf to minor league camp; optioned RHP Jim Miller to Triple-A Norfolk.
Wieters hit .333/.395/.513 in 39 at-bats, but even if he hit .933, he was getting sent down. Once he spends eight weeks in the minors, the Orioles will no longer have to worry about him being a super-two player after 2011 and they'll likely call him up. He just needs to keep doing what he's been doing.
Wieters sent down huh, It was pretty likely to happen and it just did.

Mets at the plate: The road team didn't get any hits in the first inning and began pulling its starters when the game resumed after an hour-plus rain delay. Ryan Church, Brian Schneider and Jeremy Reed all had hits for the Mets. Marlon Anderson started a sixth-inning rally with a base hit and eventually scored on Schneider's second hit of the game.
